Hai, so um, I use Debian 6 'Squeeze' which is a very decent GNU/Linux distribution. My not so modern machine is Pentium 4 2.8 GHz with 1 GB of RAM and video card GeForce 8400GS. Why Linux? I switched from Windows XP 2 years ago, because Windows was a bit annoying to me and I wanted to try something new. I don't regret, thanks to moving on I experienced some nice features which are usually standard in Linux distros, like multiple workspaces/desktops on single screen, easy installing new software from internets by single command/click, many possibilities of customisation and such I'll post some screenshots later. What are your workspaces?

Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64 on Dell Studio 1537. I'm using it because I use programs that are not available for Linux.

Soon upgrading! My HD7950 just came in. Currently waiting for a new case because my centurion 5 is not big enough. Windows Vista E7500 Duocore 2.9 ghz (OCed to 3.7) ATI Radeon HD4850 512 MB 4 GB RAM Upgrading to: Windows 7 ATI Radeon HD 7950 i7 2700k 3.5 Ghz 8 GB RAM Upgrading my processor/RAM will take a few months though. Have to buy a DDR3 motherboard which is an expensive feat.

You might have GPU<>CPU bottleneck with E7500 and HD7950. I'm not sure tho.
